Angles of Learning
I haven’t thought of trigonometry for about 15 years, because there just wasn’t a reason to use that branch of math. I do use algebra semi-frequently, but even then that feels like it’s rare sometimes. The logic that I seem to do mostly is just data flow. Now I have found a reason to use trigonometry, and it’s reason that I am excited about.
Recently I started working in Canvas API. I found that if somebody wants to get good at Canvas, then they had better brush up and be familiar with the Canvas API.
So I hope to go through what I learned, in order to share it and to make sure that I understand all the details myself.
Unit Circle
The most important concept to understand with trigonometry is the unit circle.
SOH
sin
CAH
cos
TOA
tan
Opposites
atan
atan2
This does cause me to wonder about my education in general. Personally, I never really did get excited about learning things unless it was something that I could apply. I learned by doing cold hard repetitions.
